The pain of a loved one

Every mother knows the pain of seeing her child suffering. It’s a pain we all can understand when we see any loved one bear a serious medical condition. It’s a terrible to watch a loved one go through the pain of terminal cancer and it’s made worse when a good treatment to relieve their pain is unavailable. This is the final hurtle for those voting against the legalization of medical marijuana.

What started as an experimental movement in California to treat such illnesses with medicinal marijuana for what otherwise there was no treatment for and the success has spread to more than five other states. AIDS patients take massive amounts of pills on a daily basis but still suffering and sometimes additional problems arise because of the very medications that are supposed to help them. The side effects of medicinal  marijuana can include dry mouth, dry and red eyes, headache, numbness, panic attracts, paranoia, hallucinations, depression, cardio and blood pressure issues, and seriously weaken the immune system. Most of these seem uncomfortable. But after the suffering of AIDS and the broken immune system they hardly seem noticeable. In fact that’s also why they hardly worry of about their immune system being weakened when they already don’t have one. Marijuana gives relief to unstoppable pain and discomfort to a never stopping sickness.

When people are voting for medical marijuana to be legal or illegal they are thinking about how they feel about the drug. Some are very against it feeling that it’s an irresponsible substance for irresponsible people that just want to get high. But there are those that understand the good it does for people who have no other relief and their loved ones will do anything to see that they can get it.
